Following up on her recent “mainstream” debut Bandaged (www.bandagedthefilm.com), award-winning filmmaker Maria Beatty is now embarking upon a new feature length film. This film, now in pre-production under the title Café du Diable (Devil’s Café), is currently targeting a Autumn 2011 shooting schedule in New York City.

In order to complete the necessary financing for this film, Maria Beatty is asking for likely donors who wish to support both Maria’s creative vision as well as the integrity and spirit of independent and art house cinema.

Donations are on a sliding scale from $20/20euros to $10,000/10,000euros. While the production is in progress, contributors will also have access to “sneak peaks” of the filmed footage on the upcoming Café du Diable official website.

From dusk until dawn inside a New York City decadent sanctuary - Café du Diable (Devil’s Café).  Through the course of  a single evening we will learn the stories and fates of a myriad of characters with infinite sexual  desires- unravelling the psychosexual erotic charge, exposing: Love, sex, death and murder. Heaven and Hell. God and the Devil.  

The stories in Café du Diable will cover this emotional waterfront. The journey to the madness of the outside world and the madness within each of us - equally reflective.
